The last time I had a vacation it was back in December 2106 and it was a trip to Hong Kong. Ever since then, I’ve worked till the wee hours of the morning and through festive holidays. That’s just the way it is, when you’re running your own empire. 🙂 This retreat vacation was definitely long overdue and where else to go for a good retreat than, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat in Ipoh, Perak for a few days? 😀 This would be my second time at the retreat. The Banjaran definitely has a soft spot in my heart. ❤

The Room – The Garden Villa

The Garden Villa has it’s own patio area complete with latest Bose Bluetooth Wireless Stereo System + Daybed/Sofa + Dining Table + Fridge + Mini Bar.

You have your own private pool with Cabana to dip in, swim and sun tan. Just what I love doing. 😀

The room comes complete with a Coffee Maker, Flat Screen TV, a Super Comfortable King Size Bed + Divan. For my second visit to the Retreat, they gave me a pretty bouquet of flowers and a complimentary bottle of red wine. ❤ Thank you The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat.

The bathroom comes with 2 sinks – His and Hers, Safe Box, 2 Wardrobe Cupboards – His and Hers, a Shower Room and a separate Toilet.

Don’t forget the Private Hot Spring that comes with a Jacuzzi setting right outside the Bathroom area which comes with an outdoor Rain Shower.

In the mornings, you can wake up and enjoy the view of your Private Pool while enjoying the In Room Dining Menu of your choice. ❤

I enjoyed a Lobster Roll one of the afternoons too. It was delish and definitely fresh.

Every night, you’ll enjoy their Turn Down Service with some goodies like Cookies or Chocolate.

The Retreat Itself

The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat is surrounded by hills, mountain terrains and also lots of natural flora and fauna. Hence, you get the natural scents and noises for a relaxing night’s rest.

The Natural Geothermal Hotspring is located in the middle of the resort with it’s Dipping Pods with a view of resort, Meditation Crystal Cave, Steam Cave and much more.

There is also a Heated Swimming Pool nearby the main Hotspring at the resort that has a menu offering refreshing beverages to cool you down from the heat.

There is no shortage of good food at the retreat – The Pomelo serves up special monthly menus. If you’re looking for a unique experience, Jeff’s Cellar is set within a limestone cave which is one of the most unique wine bars in the world. They have a wide range of organic and rare wines in a setting where ethereal lighting, intimate cave interiors and breathtaking natural water features present a whole new encounter and indulgence. Lastly, the newest addition to the retreat is The SkyBar which is literally set on top of the limestone hills comprising a cosy upper deck bar with a backdrop of breathtaking view overlooking the geothermal hotspring lake and a lower deck offer an exclusive whiskey lounge inside a cave. The bar serves refreshing signature cocktails and beverages with a fine and delightful light bites, gives you the best hints for an unforgettable experience.
